Atlantic Canada's most reliable non-dilutive pitch check: $25K cash to each of typically 5 winners per event, held twice a year. Backed by Volta, BDC Capital, Innovacorp, and ACOA. Open to pre-funding, tech-focused Atlantic startups. 15 finalists pitch; 5 win. NL companies are fully eligible and regularly win. Spring and fall cycles. Moderate effort (the pitch prep is real) but high hit rate compared to classic VC. Use it to bridge from product-market-fit search into a first real round.
