NSERC's flagship program for natural sciences and engineering faculty. Five-year ongoing program support, typically $20K–$80K/year for most disciplines, higher for experimental fields. Notification of Intent due August, full application early November. Quality bin assessment determines award size. Only relevant if you're a Canadian university faculty member — businesses cannot apply directly but can be partners.
